-Spiderweb Pumpkin Cheesecake

Recipe makes 12 servings

Ingredients:

-1 1/4 cups chocolate wafer crumbs
-1/4 cup butter, melted
-3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
-3/4 cup white sugar
-3 eggs
-1 1/2 cups canned pumpkin pie filling
-1 tablespoon cornstarch
-1 cup sour cream
-2 (1 ounce) squares semisweet chocolate
-2 teaspoons vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Mix chocolate wafer crumbs and melted butter in a bowl; press onto the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. Beat cream cheese and sugar with an electric mixer in a large bowl until smooth. Beat in eggs, one at a time, until just blended. Stir in pumpkin pie filling and cornstarch; pour over chocolate wafer crust.
  4. Bake in preheated oven until center is just set, 50 to 55 minutes.
  5. Spread sour cream over top of warm cheesecake; let cool.
  6. Melt chocolate and oil in a microwave-safe bowl in a microwave for 1 minute; stir until completely melted. Drizzle chocolate onto sour cream topping in a spiral pattern, starting from the center; draw a toothpick outward, from center to edges, through circles to form a web. Remove side of pan and serve.
 
 

 


-Black Magic Cake

Recipe makes 1 - 9x13 inch or 2 - 9 inch round pans

Ingredients:

-1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
-2 cups white sugar
-3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
-2 teaspoons baking soda 
-1 teaspoon baking powder
-1 teaspoon salt
-2 eggs
-1 cup strong brewed coffee
-1 cup buttermilk
-1/2 cup vegetable oil
-1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9 inch round cake pans or one 9x13 inch pan.
  2. In large bowl combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Make a well in the center.
  3. Add eggs, coffee, buttermilk, oil and vanilla. Beat for 2 minutes on medium speed. Batter will be thin. Pour into prepared pans.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 to 40 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pans and finish cooling on a wire rack. Fill and frost as desired.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

 
 

 


-Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Recipe makes 1 - 9 inch pie

Ingredients:
-1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin
-1 (14 ounce) can EAGLE BRAND® Sweetened Condensed Milk
-2 large eggs
-1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
-1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
-1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
-1/2 teaspoon salt
-1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Whisk pumpkin, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, spices and salt in medium bowl until smooth. Pour into crust. Bake 15 minutes.
  2. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F and continue baking 35 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted 1 inch from crust comes out clean. Cool. Garnish as desired. Store leftovers covered in refrigerator.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

-Witches' Brew

 

Recipe makes 16 servings 

Ingredients:

-1 (10 ounce) package frozen raspberries, thawed
-2 1/2 cups cranberry juice
-2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
-2 liters ginger ale
-2 liters sparkling apple cider (non-alcoholic)
-6 gummi snakes candy

Directions

  1. To make the frozen hand: Wash and rinse the outside of a rubber glove. Turn glove inside out and set aside. In a 4 cup measuring cup, combine the thawed raspberries and cranberry juice.
  2. Pour 2 cups of the raspberry mixture into a small saucepan. Sprinkle the gelatin over and let stand 2 minutes. Warm over low heat, stirring constantly, just until gelatin dissolves. Mix back into the reserved raspberry mixture in the measuring cup.
  3. Pour raspberry mixture into the inverted glove. Gather up the top of the glove and tie securely with kitchen twine. Freeze until solid, or several days if possible.
  4. To serve: Carefully cut glove away from frozen hand. Place frozen hand, palm side up, leaning against side of a large punch bowl. Pour in ginger ale and sparkling cider. Garnish with gummy snakes.

-American Apple Pie

  • Ready in 1 hr 30 mins

Ingredients:

75 g packed light brown sugar
65 g white sugar
8 g all-purpose flour
5 ml lemon juice
0.8 g ground cinnamon
825 g peeled, cored and sliced apples
145 g raisins
1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
1 egg

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Spray deep dish pie plate with cooking spray
  2. Combine white sugar, light brown sugar, flour, lemon, cinnamon, and mix well. Add apples and raisins to sugar mixture; stir until fruit is well coated.
  3. Spoon apple mixture into pie crust. Place second piecrust on top of filling, and trim edges. Lightly glaze top of pie with a beaten egg, then sprinkled with a little sugar.
  4. Bake till golden brown, about 35 to 40 minutes. Place on a wire rack, and cool 30 minutes.

Valmistus:
Kaada crème fraiche paksupohjaiseen teräskattilaan ja mittaa muut ainekset joukkoon. Kuumenna sekoittaen ja anna kiehua noin 15 minuuttia välillä kattilaa ravistellen, kunnes kastike on sopivan sakeaa. Vähennä alun jälkeen lämpötilaa. Kaada kuumana kakun kuorrutteeksi tai tarjoa jäätelön kanssa tai kaada kuumana puolijäisille puolukoille tai karpaloille.
